Foote Retains Services Of Frederick Attorney

July 2nd, 2019 by WCBC Radio

.WCBC News has confirmed that  Allegany County Board of Education member Wayne Foote has retained the services of a Frederick based attorney to represent him in regards to his issues with the Maryland State Board of Education. The state board investigated allegations — which fall into categories, including sexual misconduct, intimidation and breaching the confidentiality of board discussions in executive session — against Foote and determined they are legally and factually sufficient to support charges against him. Until now Foote has retained local  attorney George “Mac” McKinley in his legal battle against the state- but McKinley has confirmed  that Foote has infact sought additional legal council. McKinely did not  disclose the name- saying only that it is someone with a great deal of  experience in state board of education legal matters. He added  he has not been removed from the case by Foote- and although he may be consulted- – he wouldn’t anticipate that will be necessary given the new counsel’s experience.  Administrative Law Judge Michael Wallace has  scheduled a public hearing on the case that will be held in Cumberland at 9:30 a.m. July 23 and 9 a.m. July 24 and 25.

Reality (and costs?) are creeping in. The feeling is not unlike having underwear that creeps up just a little tighter than one might like.

The money that our tax-payers have to spend on these legal prosecutions would be so much better spent on our children’s education. Shame on you, Foote! Jean Helz
