The Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority announced this afternoon that Footer Development LLC, with Michael Joy as a major participant, had been selected to develop the Footer Dye Works building. If things go well, the group hopes to begin construction next spring and be operational in a year…but that is an optimistic timetable. The National Park Service also announced it had brought in a temporary pump to use in the basin and will continue to fill it while diagnosing a problem with a leak.
