In one of the largest projects in Gift of Trees history, the Maryland Forest Service has donated 625 trees to school and community groups for planting on 13 public properties in Allegany County.
200 of the trees will be planted at Allegany College of Maryland, with 56 slated for the Fairgrounds, 40 at Beall Elementary school, and 20 at Canal Place.
