Former Cumberland City Council member Mary Beth Pirolozzi is urging city officials to begin a serious effort to consolidate a wide range of services with Allegany County. Faced with a $1.3 million shortfall, the city council appears ready to implement a nearly ten percent tax hike in the coming weeks.
