Former State Sen. Nancy Jacobs, who represented Harford and Cecil counties during her twenty years in the Maryland General Assembly, announced Friday she has been diagnosed with B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
This is the same kind of cancer Gov. Larry Hogan was diagnosed with in June 2015.
"Although any cancer diagnosis is alarming, my doctors are confident that the cancer is slow growing and not aggressive," Jacobs said in a statement. "My family and I are humbled by the overwhelming support, prayers, and love we have received during this time."
