Former Redskins Player Facing Charges After Accidentally Shooting Himself

February 11th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

NFL free agent Josh Morgan, who played for the Washington Redskins during the 2012-2013 season, is facing reckless handling charges after accidentally shooting himself in northern Virginia last month.

Loudoun County sheriff's deputies responded to his home in the 22700 block of Hillside Circle in Leesburg on Jan. 31 for a report of an apparent self-inflicted injury. Morgan told deputies he had unintentionally discharged his firearm while cleaning it.

Morgan was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church with non-life threatening injuries.

He is scheduled to appear in court in March.
