Former Washington County Circuit judge and Maryland state senator John P. Corderman has died at 70. Corderman was a 1968 honors graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law and served as Washington County deputy state's attorney from 1971 to 1974. He was elected to the Maryland Senate in 1974 where he served two years. Corderman had represented South Cumberland, eastern Allegany County, as well as Washington County.
