Frostburg learned Thursday that the town was eliminated in a national contest that could have led to a $500,000 Main Street Makeover and Hulu documentary series from Small Business Revolution on Main Street, sponsored by Deluxe Corp. Last fall, the Mountain City was selected as one of eight semi-finalists out of nearly 14,000 nominations for the competition- and on Thursday the field was narrowed to five. Addressing the Allegany County Commissioners, Jessica Palumbo, Main Street manager, FrostburgFirst, said even though Frostburg fell short this go around- it has been a learning experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity…
