Arrest Warrant Served

On Friday, February 14th, 2020 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Vernon Anderson III for CDS charges, disorderly conduct, fail to obey a lawful order, and obstructing and hindering.  The warrant was issued by District Court in reference to an incident that took place at the Pizza Hunt on Industrial Blvd earlier in the day.  During that incident, Police were called to the Pizza Hunt to do a check on well being of a male in the parking lot.  When officers arrived, a male identified as Vernon Anderson III was acting suspiciously in a vehicle and upon officers approaching him, he became confrontational and created a disturbance.  A warrant check on Anderson revealed that he was wanted out of Washington County for violation of probation.  Anderson was arrested and a search revealed CDS and CDS paraphernalia in the vehicle.  He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await a bond review before the District Court Commissioner.

While there is a Pizza Hunt in India, I suspect that Vernon Anderson III was blighting a Pizza Hut. The writer would probably receive partial credit for consistency with the error.

The Herman fellow gets arrested so regularly it is amazing. What are our States Attorney & Judges thinking to continue to allow him to get out…. and cause more havoc in Cumberland? I would bet the Police are disgusted with the lack of action as well. Check him out on the MD Judiciary site, you will see!!
