Frostburg Man Facing Drug Charges

A Frostburg man was arrested on drug distribution charges late Monday night after he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign in the heart of the city.The Cumberland Times News reports Frostburg Police stopped Ryan Anthony Tomlinson, 20, at 11:15 p.m. at Main and Center streets. After detecting an odor of marijuana, the officer discovered a grinder containing marijuana residue and $750 on Tomlinson’s person. A backpack on the front floor area of the vehicle contained an estimated 45 grams of suspected marijuana. The marijuana, drug paraphernalia and money were seized as evidence by the C3Iā€ˆNarcotics Unit, police said. Tomlinson was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana over 10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was granted pretrial release on his personal recognizance by a district court commissioner.
