July 25th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

On Wednesday, at approximately 7:30 a.m. Frostburg City Police served an arrest warrant on Orlando Cornell Meade, 43, of Frostburg, after he turned himself in at District Court. The warrant stemmed from a June 7, 2018, incident in which officers investigated a domestic assault.

In that incident, a female victim walked into the Frostburg City Police station at approximately 2:32 a.m. to report a domestic assault. The victim was barefoot and exhibited visible injuries and blood. The victim alleged that she and Meade had gotten into an argument during which Meade struck her stomach with his knee and grabbed her hair. The victim reported that Meade then began striking her in the face with his hand. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the assault allegation. The victim further alleged that Meade took her phone to prevent her from calling the police.

Police were unable to locate Meade at the time of the report and obtained an arrest warrant for him. Meade was presented to a District Court Commissioner and held at the Allegany County Detention Center.
