Frostburg Preparing for City Election

The Frostburg Board of Elections has begun preparing for the Frostburg City Election set for Tuesday, June 5, 2018.  Candidate Applications may be filed at City Hall beginning Friday, February 2, 2018.  There are separate Candidate Applications for the Office of Mayor; Commissioner of Public Safety; Commissioner of Finance; Commissioner of Public Works; and the Commissioner of Water, Parks and Recreation.  Candidate Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018.

 

Absentee Ballot Applications will be accepted at City Hall beginning Friday, February 2, 2018.   Absentee Ballot Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. 

 

Maryland Voter Registration Applications will be available at City Hall.  Residents may register until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018.  Residents may also register to vote using the “Online Voter Registration System” on the web site of the Maryland Board of Elections or by going to the Allegany County Elections Office at the County Office Building in Cumberland.  

 

Applications and other election information is available at Frostburg City Hall, 59 E. Main Street during normal business hours.  In addition the Candidate Applications and the Absentee Ballot Applications may printed as a pdf file from the Frostburg City web site, www.frostburgcity.com. All completed applications must be presented at City Hall, 59 E. Main Street, Frostburg, Maryland.
