Frostburg Woman Pulls Knife & Sprays Nine With Pepper Spray At Valley St. Business

On 3/9/18 at approximately 0018hrs officers were dispatched to a Valley Street business for a female who pulled a knife and then sprayed numerous patrons with pepper spray.  While en route to the scene officers learned that the female left the area on foot. Officers located Bille Jo Resh a block from the business. Resh admitted to officers that she was in possession of a knife and pepper spray.  Resh was detained while other officers checked the business for victims. Officers arrived and learned that Resh was in the business and for unknown reasons became upset with other patrons and staff. Resh brandished a knife before producing a can of pepper spray.  Resh then sprayed 9 different people with the spray contaminating the entire business with the residual odor causing the business to close for the night. Resh was taken into custody and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. None of the victims required any medical treatment as a result of the exposure to the pepper spray.  Resh was later taken before the District Court Commissioner where she was released pending trial.

Charges: 2nd Degree Assault (9 counts), Intoxicated Endangerment, Intoxicated Public Disturbance & Disorderly Conduct
