Two online organizations focused on helping prospective students find the best values in online MBA programs have ranked Frostburg State University’s program among the top 50 in the nation in recent weeks.

Top Management Degrees, has ranked FSU number 48 of the most affordable online MBAs of 2017. At the same time, Best Value MBA rated FSU’s MBA number 46 among its top 50 best MBA programs that offer high value and affordability.

Top Management Degrees’ ranking is designed to find the best affordable online Master of Business Administration available. A list of over 350 online MBA programs was obtained and then vetted based on accreditation and estimated tuition cost to find the most affordable program. Every program included in the ranking is regionally accredited by one of the six accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and additionally accredited by one of the top three business school accreditors – IACBE, ACBSP or AACSB-International.

Each MBA was ultimately considered based on the estimated total tuition of the program. The tuition information was gathered from the most recent data given on each specific program/school website. Top Management Degrees noted that FSU, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited university and that its College of Business is additionally accredited by AACSB-International. The company calculates that students can finish FSU’s flexible online MBA program at an affordable resident tuition cost of $14,256. Best Value MBA’s 50 programs were selected for their affordability out of over 500 MBA programs offered online. All programs ranked are offered by regionally accredited public or private nonprofit universities. Many of the programs have additional accreditation from national and international accrediting bodies like AACSB, ACBSP and IACBE.

Schools were ranked solely based on their tuition. Best Value MBA emphasizes that full-time students can complete FSU’s AACSB-accredited online MBA in just one year and that applicants are not required to submit GMAT scores if their undergraduate GPA is 3.65 or higher, or 3.25 with two years of professional experience. In-state tuition is estimated at $6,876 and out-of-state tuition at $8,838.
