FSU To Launch School Year, Football Season With Fireworks Display

August 26th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Frostburg State University will launch its fall semester with a bang – literally, with a fireworks display following the football team's season-opening football game against Geneva College on Sept. 3. The Bobcats take on the Golden Tornadoes from Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, at 7 p.m. Admission to all Bobcat athletic events is free.

The best view of the fireworks will be from the stands of Bobcat Stadium. The fireworks, presented by the Zambelli Fireworks, will be launched from the area of the upper practice fields above University Drive, so they should be visible from many locations on campus and in Frostburg, according to school officials. Access to the area of the practice field will be restricted. There will be no rain date.
