The Cumberland National Day of Prayer Committee has a full day of activites planned for the 64th annual observance. This is the 19th annual prayer day event held in Cumberland, with a breakfast, and an outdoor worship ceremony on the Downtown Mall. The theme for the 2015 National Day of Prayer observation, is Lord, Hear Our Cry, emphasizing the need for every citizen to cry out to the Lord in prayer, calling upon the unfailing character of God, who is sovereign over all governments, authorities and men — the God under whom this nation stands.
