Funeral Arrangements Made For Kevin Kamenetz; County Offices To Close Early Friday

Funeral arrangements have been made for Baltimore County Executive Kamenetz, who died after suffering a cardiac arrest early Thursday.  A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation (7401 Park Heights Avenue, Pikesville), with internment to follow at Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery, according to the Sol Levinson funeral home. The family will not receive guests before the service.

Baltimore County offices will close at 1:30 p.m. Friday, out of respect for Kamenetz.

The funeral service will stream live via the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation. From the service, the procession will head north on Park Heights Avenue to Interstate 695 west, then the Interstate 795 north, taking exit 7B for westbound Franklin Boulevard. From there, the procession will turn right on Nicodrmus Road, right on Berrymans Lane and continuing to the cemetery.

Police are asking drivers to expect road closures in the area of Park Heights and Slade avenues starting at 11:45 a.m. and lasting until 4 p.m. Drivers can also expect road closures along the procession route.

Shiva will be held at the family home in Owings Mills on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with evening services at 7 p.m.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society and Baltimore Humane Society.
