The future of the Shops at Canal Place could become a lot more clear in mid February when the Development Authority receives proposals for private development of the Footer Dye Works building. The aging, dilapidated structure is viewed by many as the anchor or Canal Place- and if significant, private commercial development opportunities present themselves for the building- it could be a “game changer” according to Authority Chair Andy Vick.
