Gaming numbers up at Rocky Gap

Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency announced that all five Maryland casinos reported revenue gains in October.

The agency announced Thursday that state casinos generated an estimated total of $94.7 million last month. This was an increase of $7.9 million, or 9.2 percent, over the same month last year.

Maryland Live, the state's largest casino, generated $54.9 million, a 9.3 percent increase. Horseshoe, the state's second-largest casino, reported $24.6 million in revenue, a 9.8 percent increase.

Revenue increased by 1.6 percent to $6.2 million at Hollywood Casino Perryville, by 13 percent to $4.6 million at the slots-only Casino at Ocean Downs, and by 10.8 percent to $4.2 million at Rocky Gap Casino Resort.

A sixth Maryland casino, MGM National Harbor, is due to open in the second half of 2016.
