Garrett County Administrators Surprised by Immigrant Children Relocation

WCBC Listeners weren’t the only group that was surprised to hear that the Department of Homeland Security and the State of Maryland had made inquiries into placing a large number of unaccompanied immigrant children here. Garrett County Administrator Monty Pagenhardt told our Paul Mullan that the first he heard of the federal and state requests to possibly house some of the kids at Salem Children’s Trust was from our report:





Salem officials have declined to participate in the relocation program.
