Garrett County Flood Warning Until 12:45 PM

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
  Garrett County in western Maryland...
  Preston County in northeastern West Virginia...

* Until 1245 PM EDT Saturday.

* At 644 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain in the warned area.
  Minor flooding of secondary roads was reported earlier in Garrett
  County. Additional rainfall over the next few hours will continue
  to create flooding issues.

  FLOODING...           Expected.

  ESTIMATED RAINFALL... Up to 2 inches.

  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL...Up to 2 inches.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Kingwood...                       Mountain Lake Park...
  Oakland...                        Terra Alta...
  Rowlesburg...                     Bayard...
  Bittinger...                      Grantsville...
  Loch Lynn Heights...              Friendsville...
  Deer Park...                      Newburg...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown. Most flood fatalities occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

In hilly terrain, there are hundreds of low-water crossings which may
be dangerous in heavy rain. Find an alternate route if a crossing is
flooded.
