January 4th, 2021 by WCBC Radio

Garrett County officials say they're making good progress in vaccinating essential medical and public safety personnel, and will soon be able to move to Phase 1B of the vaccine plan, which will be available for all residents of the county who are 75 and older. When the announcement is made, it will include specific instructions on how to schedule an appointment. There will be no charge for vaccinations. Proof of age and Garrett County residency will be required. Anyone receiving the vaccine in Garrett County will need to receive a second dose within 28 days to acquire full immunity. An appointment for a second dose will be arranged during the initial appointment.
