Looking to provide accurate information, shoot down rumors and respond to criticisms, the owner of a Frederick area restaurant, who is expressing interest in opening a similar restaurant in the Footer Dye Works building at Canal Place, held an informal public meeting Thursday to share his plan for the venture. Gary Brooks, owner of Barley and Hops Grill & Microbrewery, and Michael Joy, the developer of the Footer building, were on hand at the Crabby Pig at Canal Place Thursday afternoon to field questions from anyone in the area who may have concerns or are looking for clarification about the project.
