Gas prices dropping in Cumberland

June 8th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

Drivers throughout Maryland, as well as across the country, continue to find cheaper prices at the pump, thanks to declining crude oil prices. AAA believes drivers may have already seen the highest prices of the year and could see a summer average (Memorial Day to Labor Day) below that of last year’s, which reached $2.87 a gallon.

Prices in Maryland dropped by six cents in the last week, are 14 cents lower than last month and 22 cents lower than on this date last year.

Today’s national gas price average is $2.77, which is down five cents in the last week, down 11 cents in the last month, and is 16 cents less than last year’s price.
