Gas Prices Falling

As Thanksgiving holiday travelers return home today through Sunday, many will be paying lower gas prices than when they filled up their vehicle before their trip.  The nationwide average price for a gallon of gas today is $2.05 a gallon, which is five cents lower compared to a week ago, a 15 cents per gallon drop from last month, and a 75 cents decline versus the price at this time a year ago.  More than half of U.S. stations are selling gas for less than $2 per gallon. Marylanders returning home will find the average price for gas at $2.08 per gallon, which is four cents less than last week, eight cents a gallon less than a month ago and 75 cents less than last year on this date. In Cumberland the average price down two cents from a week ago at $2.12 a gallon with some stations as low as $2.07

Gas prices continuing to drop heading into the first week of November. The national average is now at $2.19 for a gallon of regular unleaded, down three cents from last week. In Maryland the price is at $2.12, down 4 cents from last week. And in Cumberland prices are down a penny, standing at $2.20 a gallon heading into Halloween.
