Gas prices plunging

Gas prices continue falling with the national average declining for 18 consecutive days. Maryland motorists haven’t enjoyed prices this low since September 2010. Today’s national average price for regular unleaded gasoline is $2.62 per gallon, down five cents in the last week, 15 cents less than last month, and 86 cents per gallon lower than the price on this date last year. Maryland’s average price is two cents lower than the national gallon price at $2.60, which reflects a four cents drop compared to last week, 16 cents decline from last month’s price, and is 89 cents per gallon less than the 2014 price on this date. Cumberland’s average is $2.55, down a full five cents from last week
