Just one true local race on the Allegany County/Maryland ballot on Tuesday night with 4th Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Getty outdistancing challenger George “Mac” McKinley on both the democrat and republican contests. The race was nonpartisan, with candidates cross-filed so Republicans and Democrats can vote for either candidate- and Getty was the top vote getter on both ballots- eliminating the need for a November General Election contest.
