Gov. Hogan Announces Grant Money To Help Fight Against Heroin

Wrapping up a four day swing through Western Maryland earlier this week, Governor Larry Hogan stopped in Hagerstown where he announced over $200,000 in grant money to the Washington County Sheriff's Office and Maryland State Police to help address the growing problem of heroin. Hogan declared heroin to be an epidemic and appointed a task force to make recommendations. The governor, accompanied by among others, Allegany County State’s Attorney Mike Twigg at the afternoon announcement said that the grant money will enable law enforcement officials to better execute their attack on heroin traffickers…
