Gov. Hogan Says $1.2 Million For Footer Isn’t Going To Happen

Although the Canal Place Authority, City of Cumberland and District One delegation are all on the same page in seeking more than a million dollars from the state for the Footer Dye Works project – Maryland Governor Larry Hogan says that simply isn’t going to happen. The request, for $1.2 million from the state’s capital budget, came from the Authority, and since has received the backing of the city and the local delegation. The funds are needed for what have been described as critical infrastructure improvements for the aging Footer building. Governor Hogan, a guest on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” Thursday said that unfortunately there are no new capital dollars available for any projects anywhere in the state…
