Gov. Hogan: ‘There is No Defense for the President’s Comments Undermining our Democratic Process’

November 7th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan talked to PBS’ Margaret Hoover, addressing local legislation and President Donald Trump's current run to be reelected.

While some ballots are still being counted, Trump filed lawsuits in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia, claiming fraud, among other things. All three lawsuit have been thrown out. Former Vice President Joe Biden reportedly has the lead over Trump in Georgia and Pennsylvania.

“Everyone in America wants a free and fair election, they want every single vote to be counted,” says Hogan. “Frivolous lawsuits to drag this out if there's no merit to them absolutely is wrong for the country.”

Hogan also tweeted that Trump's comments are "undermining our Democratic process."

"America is counting the votes, and we must respect the results as we always have before. No election or person is more important than our Democracy," says Hogan.
