Maryland Governor Larry Hogan announced the appointment of Jeff Getty as the next Allegany County Circuit Court Judge. Judge Gary Leasure announced last October that he had submitted paperwork to retire from the position concurrent with the end of his second term on November 7th. The replacement process began in December with three candidates submitting letters of interest to the local Judicial Nominating Commission. Getty said he was honored to be selected for the position.
