Governor Declares State of Emergency

Governor Hogan has issued declared a State of Emergency for Maryland as result of the impending impact of Hurricane Florence. This paves the way to provide for additional resources should they be needed. Allegany County Emergency Services Director Dick Devore says that now is the time to prepare, noting that while the  I  path and impact can still change, preperation is a key to surviving serious weather incidents.
