“Grace’s Law” Makes Cyber-Bullying A Crime

Christine McComas, the mother of the late Grace McComas, the inspiration for "Grace's Law” says that hopefully with a  new law in place-  no family will have to experience a similar tragedy which struck her family.  The law makes it a crime to harass any one under the age of 18 online, a practice known as cyber bullying. Violators could face up to one year in jail. The bill is named in memory of the Howard County teenager who killed herself last year, after she was repeatedly harassed online by a neighbor. McComas' family testified in favor of the bill. Mrs. McComas called seeing the new law get final approval was a bitter sweet moment…
