The first “Walk a Mile for Ol’ Greenway!” Fun Run/Walk is set for today from 9 to 11 a.m., with 100 percent of registration fees benefiting the Capital Improvement Fund. The committee of the Greenway Avenue Stadium Capital Improvement Fund organized the event. There will be fund raising activities as well as a request for direct contributions to a fund to be used for stadium capital improvement projects such as the FieldTurf playing surface and the track. The mile walk will begin and end at the stadium.
