Cumberland Mayor Brian Grim is moving forward with plans to hold a mayoral candidates forum at city hall May 7th- to serve as a counter to the Chamber of Commerce event which is closed to the public. For the second consecutive election year, the Chamber is having candidates record responses to questions at a studio in Frostburg. That will not be open to the public and the recording won’t be available for at least two weeks when it can be accessed via the Chamber’s website. Mayor Grim says he feels the Chamber format completely shuts out the voters- and is trying to get the other candidate for mayor to come to city hall that day to be available for questions from the general public…
