Grogg One Candidate for Mayor

July 23rd, 2014 by WCBC Radio

With a field of candidates too small to require a primary, the campaign for seats on the Cumberland Mayor and City Council has been slow to develop. With a little more than three months until the November General Election, things may begin to heat up soon- and signs of that have been evident at the last few public meetings of the council with a number of candidates raising questions and voicing criticism of the current city officials. Jeffrey Grogg, a 37 year veteran firefighter, is one of three candidates for mayor- including the incumbent Brian Grim.  After sitting through a city meeting earlier this month, Grogg said he didn’t see team work as a strong point with the current council.
