Ground To Be Broken This Fall For Winchester Court

Although tenants are not yet being named, a Pennsylvania developer has indicated that ground will be broken this fall for Winchester Court in Lavale. Ted Donald of PennTex Ventures in Greensburg, Pa., says that the shopping mall will open during the summer of 2015. The mall is to be built on 3.3 acres at the location of the former Maple Mountain Equipment business at 12317 Winchester Road across that highway from one of the entrances to Country Club Mall. Jeffrey Barclay, an economic development specialist for Allegany County, says the concept plan shows a 30,000- to 35,000-square-foot retail center with one anchor and a small strip center with two end-cap tenants. County Commissioner Creade Brodie Jr, having witnessed permitting issue delays similar projects in the past, said it’s important for Barclay to work closely with PennTex during the entire process…
