On 04/02/18 around 0026 hours, Troopers from the Maryland State Police Hagerstown Barrack along with a Trooper from the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division were involved in a vehicle pursuit, which began in Frederick County near the 42 MM on I-70 traveling Westbound towards Washington County. A trooper assigned to the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division observed a silver 1999 Infinity I-30 passenger vehicle traveling at approximately 110 MPH and driving erratically. The trooper activated his emergency lights and siren in an attempt to make a traffic stop on the vehicle. The suspect vehicle then drove north bound on I-81 where it took the 5A Exit ramp to get off on East Bound Halfway Blvd. At this time, the vehicle lost control and struck a curb, which caused the vehicle to spin around and face the westbound direction of Halfway Blvd. The vehicle then struck a marked State Police vehicle as it fled the scene. The pursuit continued for a few moments until troopers were able to stop the car at the intersection of Massey Blvd. and Railway Lane in Hagerstown. The suspect, who was identified by his Maryland Identification Card as William Emile Frazier of the 900 Block of Hamilton Blvd., in Hagerstown, was taken into custody without incident. No injuries were sustained by the troopers or to the suspect. It was determined that the suspect was under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and charged according. The suspect was taken to Central Booking and is awaiting to see the commissioner.
