Hampshire, Hardy, Berkeley Among Few Remaining ‘Red’ Counties in WV

According to the latest statewide report, Hampshire, Hardy and Berkeley counties are among the only remaining areas of the Mountain State that are still in the 'red' category on the Department of Health and Human Resources’ county alert system map.

Mingo County, in the western end of the state, is the only other red-designated county, as of Tuesday.

According to the Hampshire County Health Department, there has been a recent decline in the rate of new infections.

The most recent data from the DHHR shows the daily positivity test rate in West Virginia is 4.8% and the number of active COVID-19 cases has fallen to 14,756.
