Health Exchange Website To Change

March 30th, 2014 by WCBC Radio

Maryland apparently is going to abandon its glitch plagued health insurance website next week, after the current enrollment period ends on Monday night.

The Washington Post reports today that the board of the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange will vote on Tuesday on a measure to shut down the state's website, and combine it with Connecticut's in time for the next enrollment period which begins November 15.

Connecticut officials told WBAL News earlier this month that they had met with Maryland officials to discuss the issue.

Lt. Governor Anthony brown, speaking to WBAL News at an enrollment event at the Baltimore Convention center on Saturday, told WBAL News that the state is exploring options, and that it is not likely the state will keep it's website.
