High Grass, Unkempt Properties In Carpendale

June 3rd, 2017 by WCBC Radio

High grass and unkempt properties drew concern during the recent meeting of the Carpendale Council. Property owners who are not cutting their grass in a timely manner will receive letters informing them of town regulations. The council is also once again looking at a building inspector to address concerns of housing conditions. Specific concerns were raised for vacant properties and mobile homes in the town. Residents who have not transferred their out-of-state vehicle tags to West Virginia are also being put on notice in town and along the state road. The Mineral Tribune reports residents moving to West Virginia must register and title vehicles within 30 days of establishing residency in the state. The Ridgeley Police have been vigilant in issuing warnings to ATV operators who are not abiding by the town’s rules.
