High speed internet is coming to Carpendale as fiber optic cable is run to the town hall through NexGen Broadband, which originally approached the town as Morgan Broadband.
Mayor Butch Armentrout noted that the service will originate from a relay box near the town hall. Plans to upgrade the town computers, once the new fiber optic is up and running, are being discussed as the programs needed for water and sewer and other town operations are evaluated.
