Matching a qualified workforce with a high tech employer represents somewhat of a conundrum for the Allegany County Economic Development Department. Director Matt Diaz said its difficult to attract a major high tech business into the area, given the lack of potential employees for those types of jobs. Training programs at Allegany College of Maryland is one possible solution, but that takes time.
