Hoeber Comments on Jealous’ Pledge for All-Democrat Delegation

October 3rd, 2018 by WCBC Radio

Ben Jealous, the Democratic candidate for Maryland governor, has pledged to deliver an all-Democratic congressional delegation if he’s elected.   Last week, at the Baltimore County Democratic Party Unity Dinner in Timonium,  Jealous warned his fellow Democrats that Republican Governor  Larry Hogan would work to place more  Republicans in Congress.  Jealous, who is trailing Hogan by as many as 20 points  according to recent polls, said he would make sure there are none.  Maryland’s congressional delegation is currently made up of seven Democrats and one Republican: Representative  Andy Harris.  In Western Maryland, part of the Sixth District, Republican Amie Hoeber is trying to see that the GOP actually adds a seat. Hoeber is running againt Democrat David Trone for the seat that has been held by  John Delaney for the past three terms.  She says Jealous’  proposal is partisan politics at its worst…
