State Superintendent Extends School Shutdown thru 4/24

March 25th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

In a press conference broadcast live on WCBC, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan said people who have traveled to New York recently should self quarentine for two weeks.

The Maryland State Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Karen Salmon, has announced that all Maryland Public Schools will be closed for an additional four weeks through April 24, 2020.

Allegany County Public Schools will be adhering to this directive.

ACPS has been working on a plan for the continuity of learning, and once the Maryland State Department of Education provides a timeline for the implementation of the continuity of learning plans, it will be communicated to the ACPS staff, parents, and students

Wise move by Dr. Salmon. Even though churches full of senior citizens will be packed on Easter Sunday.

I think Senior’s are totally aware that God is with them always. Yes it will be hard not to be in church for Easter. But better watching a Easter service on TV then from a hospital bed 2 weeks later.
We not only follow orders for ourselves, but because we have families that we love. Easter is about the Risen Christ. Let’s all meet at church on Easter 2021.
