Hogan says he made right call on Trump

October 12th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan didn't have to rethink his opinion on Donald Trump after the Republican presidential nominee was heard on tape using sexually predatory language. Hogan first said in February that he didn't support Trump, and in June he confirmed that he wouldn't vote for him. He said Wednesday that "certainly the most recent comments haven't made me change my positions about him." Hogan added, "It seems a lot of fellow Republicans are coming around to that same position, but mine hasn't changed. I've been consistent from day one." Hogan's anti-Trump stance is popular in Maryland, a blue state where Hillary Clinton is expected to win easily. Hogan is just the second elected Republican governor in the past half-century in Maryland and has enjoyed consistently high approval ratings.
