Governor Larry Hogan today signed a measure which bans hydraulic fracturing in Maryland.
WCBC News spoke with District 1A Delegate Wendell Beitzel in Annapolis today. Beitzel said that he's disappointed with the signing, and believes that will be the end of the discussion unless there is a dramatic development in technology.
Beitzel also said it is his understanding that the current bill would not ban dry fracking. ATK has been working on technology which would use propulsion, rather than water, to free natural gas.
