Hogan updates Coronavirus

March 9th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

As D.C. warns visitors of a historic Georgetown church to self-quarantine after its rector tested positive for the new coronavirus, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan updated residents on the state’s response to the outbreak. And, in nearby Northern Virginia, there are now three positive cases, the Virginia Health Department announced Monday. An Arlington County resident in their 60s tested positive after traveling overseas.

In Montgomery County, out of an abundance of caution, county Council President Sidney Katz said two county events have been postponed. One was a town hall on Wednesday at Leisure World, a retirement community in Silver Spring. The second event called off was a public forum by the council’s Transportation and Environment Committee, scheduled for Monday night in Rockville.
