Gov. Larry Hogan announced Saturday that he will not run for the Republican nomination for President next year.
Hogan says he plans to form a non-profit advocacy group known as An America United, which he says will "work to break partisan gridlock, and briung people together to advance bold solutions for all Americans."
Hogan says he will continue serve his second term as governor and serve as the incoming chairman of the National Governors Association.
“That work is important, and I believe both of those roles will give me the opportunity to make an impact on the direction of my party and our nation,” Hogan said in a statement.
I truly appreciate all of the encouragement I received from people around the nation urging me to consider making a run for President in 2020. However, I will not be a candidate.https://t.co/kFHUcMyKJU

The governor needs to start with his own state and bring AG Frosh under control. Not going to happen. Sad
