Holiday Road Enforcement begins Monday

You can expect to see more Maryland state troopers than usual on Western Maryland roadways during Thanksgiving week. Increased enforcement is planned to address the nearly 933,500 motorist planning on traveling for the holiday in Maryland, according to estimates from AAA. The motor club reports that 91% of travelers will be on the roads, a 3.3% increase from last year.  The Maryland State Police will focus on aggressive driving, distracted driving, and seat belt usage to make sure motorist get to their Thanksgiving locations safely. Motorists are reminded to watch for the active work zones that will continue work during the holiday season.      Anyone traveling on Maryland roads should know the weather and road conditions before heading out.
